Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
1. Who we are
Unseal is a service of SQ Creative Media London, a trading name of Surrey Quays Photo Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16218366), 142 Lower Road, London SE16 2UG, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at support@sqcreativemedia.co.uk.
2. The service
Unseal lets you design a digital invitation, preview it for free, and pay to publish it at your own web link so you can share it with guests and collect replies. These terms apply when you use our website and when you buy an invitation.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to buy an invitation, and at least 16 to create an account.
- Keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us an email address you check, so we can send receipts and important updates.
4. Paying for an invitation
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. You pay once per invitation. There is no subscription and no charge per guest.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- When your payment is confirmed, your invitation goes live at the link you chose. Your link can’t be changed once it’s live, but you can edit the content at any time.
- Each invitation is linked to one event. Our Signature designs are priced separately from Classic designs. You can switch to another design of the same or a lower price after paying.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Your invitation is digital content that we supply immediately at your request. When you pay, you agree to this and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once your invitation is live (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). This doesn’t affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if something we supply is faulty. See our refund policy for how we handle refunds.
6. Your content
- You keep ownership of the words and photos you add. You give us permission to store, copy and display them only as needed to run the service, for example to show your invitation to people who have your link and to create its preview image.
- You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, including permission from people who appear in your photos.
- Don’t upload anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, infringing or misleading, and don’t use the service to send spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we’ll tell you first.
7. Your guests
Your invitation is private to people who have the link, and we ask search engines not to index it. If you collect replies through your invitation, you’re responsible for using your guest list and replies lawfully and only for your event. We process replies on your behalf as described in our privacy policy.
8. Our designs
All designs, illustrations, animations and software on Unseal belong to us. Buying an invitation gives you a personal licence to use your design for your event, including sharing your link and printing a QR code. You may not copy, resell or reproduce our designs separately from the service.
9. How long invitations stay online
Live invitations stay online for at least 12 months after the event date you entered. After that we may archive them. You can download your guest replies at any time while your invitation is in your account.
10. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Unseal available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted. We may improve or change features from time to time. If we make a change that significantly affects an invitation you’ve paid for, we’ll let you know.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any invitation is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
12. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. This permanently deletes your invitations, photos and guest replies, and live links stop working.
13. General
We may update these terms. If changes affect you significantly we’ll email you before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may also bring proceedings there.
